Friday Factoid – 11.29.19 – Red Planet Day


November 28th is known as “Red Planet Day.” On this day in 1964, NASA launched Mariner 4 (a robotic interplanetary probe) to study Mars, which is also known as the “Red Planet.” During its eight-month mission, Mariner 4 became the first spacecraft to capture close-up images of Mars.
